Zelenskyy congratulates Trump on election victory

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated Donald Trump on his victory in the US presidential election. According to him, Ukraine is looking forward to an era of strong American decisions led by Trump.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote about this on his Twitter account (X).

Zelenskyy's congradulations to Trump

The Head of State recalled a recent meeting with the Republican, during which they discussed the strategic partnership between Ukraine and the United States, as well as the Plan to defeat and stop Russian aggression against our country.

"I appreciate President Trump's commitment to the "peace through strength" approach in global affairs. This is exactly the principle that can practically bring just peace in Ukraine closer. I am hopeful that we will put it into action together," the statement reads.

According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine is looking forward to an era of strong US under Trump's decisive leadership and counts on further strong bipartisan support.

Our state is also interested in developing mutually beneficial political and economic cooperation that will benefit both countries.

"Ukraine, as one of Europe's strongest military powers, is committed to ensuring long-term peace and security in Europe and the Transatlantic community with the support of our allies. I am looking forward to personally congratulating President Trump and discussing ways to strengthen Ukraine's strategic partnership with the United States," the Ukrainian president emphasized.

As a reminder, The Hill recently reported that Donald Trump won the US presidential election, as he received 270 electoral votes. There has been no official announcement of the results yet, but these are preliminary media estimates.

In addition, Trump addressed his supporters in Palm Beach with a speech announcing his victory in the election.
