The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the State Defense Committee on Monday, November 25. The topic was energy and its protection.

The Head of State said that there were reports from the Ministry of Energy, Naftohaz and all key industry participants. They talked about the recovery after the Russian attack on November 17 and the protection of all critical facilities.

"Gas infrastructure and generation: nuclear, hydro, thermal, etc. In addition, our partnership with European countries increase opportunities for importing electricity, in particular for business," Zelenskyy said.

In addition, there was a report by the Air Force on the protection of critical infrastructure facilities from the air. The most effective experience of echeloned air defense means is being implemented in other regions.

"In addition to energy, we heard the report of the Ministry of Defense on contracting and advance payments for Ukrainian manufacturers of weapons, shells, missiles, drones, the results of 2024 and planning for 2025," Zelenskyy added.

As a reminder, on November 25, Zelenskyy held a conversation with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi. The parties discussed the situation on key areas of the front line.

The Head of State also reacted to the large-scale strikes on Ukraine. He explained how the shelling could be stopped.
