Zelenskyy lit the Hanukkah candles together with the rabbis
Today, December 25, Ukraine celebrates two significant holidays — Christmas and the beginning of Hanukkah. This is an important moment that emphasizes the strength of unity and mutual respect that prevails among the citizens of our country, regardless of their religious beliefs, as the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy claimed.
Zelenskyy reported this via Telegram.
Today, we mark both Christmas and the beginning of Hanukkah. It is very good that in Ukraine we can celebrate such holidays with respect for each other, communicate, live together and wish different people the same victory—the victory of light over darkness.

What Zelenskyy said at the beginning of Hanukkah
The President of Ukraine, together with the rabbis, lit the Hanukkah candles. This year's Hanukkah, according to him, has a special history: it was presented by the President of Argentina, Javier Milei, during his inauguration in December last year.
During his greetings to the Jewish community, Zelenskyy wished peace, joy and a generous fate for Jewish families. Khanukiyah, as a symbol of light and hope, calls for strengthening faith in truth and justice even during the most difficult times.
"Let Khanukiyah burn in every home, giving strength and filling with new hopes, strengthening faith in the power of truth and justice," he added.
