Poland will do its utmost for Ukraine to join NATO, — Tusk
Poland has an unchanging opinion on Ukraine's membership in NATO. The country would immediately support it if the decision depended only on it.
This was stated by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Tuesday, December 17.
Poland's position on Ukraine's membership in NATO
Donald Tusk has visited Lviv. He noted that Poland will do everything to bring the prospect of Ukraine's membership in NATO closer.
"Ukraine could always count on support for joining the European Union and NATO. If it depended on Poland, it would not last longer than one day," Tusk said.
It should be recalled, that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Lviv. During the meeting, they discussed a number of important issues, including the situation on the front line and assistance to Ukraine.
Gael Vessier stated that France supports the idea of inviting Ukraine to NATO. However, the decision on the accession of a new state must be supported by all countries that are members of the Alliance.
