MP Olha Vasylevska-Smahliuk believes that Ukrainians will face another tax increase. This will happen either at the end of this year or next year.

Vasylevska-Smahliuk said this in a commentary for Novyny.LIVE journalist Halyna Ostapovets.

Taxes will be raised

The MP said that the state budget for the next year has now passed the first reading, where only a tenth of all the submitted amendments were taken into account.

"The budget is not balanced because we are waiting for the president to sign the tax increase law, we have to find somewhere to get the 120 billion that is already in the draft budget that is for the army but not supported by tax increases," explained Vasylevska-Smahliuk.

She added that 56% of the budget will be used to finance the Armed Forces.

Earlier, we wrote that MPs of Ukraine signed an appeal to the Vice Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine, Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksii Kuleba. The appeal calls for preserving the reverse subsidy and 64% of the personal income tax (PIT) in community budgets.

As a reminder, economic expert Yurii Havrylechko said that during the war, the level of provision for the military was much lower than that of the police.
