The most expensive elections in the United States

According to estimates, the 2024 presidential election was the most expensive in US history.

According to the final figures released in mid-October, the Harris and Trump campaigns, as well as their party committees and outside organizations, raised nearly $4.2 billion together.

At the same time, Democrats raised significantly more money than Republicans — over $2.3 billion, while spending $1.9 billion. Republicans raised just over $1.8 billion and spent $1.6 billion.

Most of the funds raised by both sides were spent on media and advertising campaigns.

As a reminder, Trump won the US presidential election with 270 electoral votes. World leaders have already started congratulating him.

Also, voting in the United States has changed after three elections with Donald Trump's participation. From 2016 to 2024, Latin American men supported Trump, and Kamala Harris failed to surpass the level of support from women, compared to previous years.
