"By our example, we aim to encourage other international partners to do the same, without waiting for the end of the war, thus strengthening the hope and faith of Ukrainians in a safe and prosperous future," Minister of Finance Gintarė Skaistė explained.

This year, 24 million euros from the Lithuanian budget have already been allocated to the Fund for Reconstruction Projects of Ukraine.

In addition to Lithuania, other donor states, including Taiwan, Andorra, and Ireland, joined the financial assistance. According to the Lithuanian Government, they strive to contribute to the restoration of Ukraine.

It is worth noting that since the beginning of the Russian aggression, Lithuania has allocated almost 1.5 billion euros to Ukraine in the form of military, financial and humanitarian support.

It should be recalled that Germany transferred additional IRIS-T air defense systems to Ukraine. By the end of this year, Kyiv will receive two more such installations.

Previously, Ukraine received ammunition, for which the citizens of Slovakia collected more than 4 million euros at the beginning of 2024. In total, 122 tons of ammunition were sent.
