The Bayeux Calvados-Normandy Award was founded in 1994 in the French city of Bayeux in honor of the 50th anniversary of the allied troops landing in Normandy during World War II. The journalists from leading world media such as Associated Press, Reuters, BBC, CNN, Le Monde and others became the laureates of this award during its existence. This year, the laureates also included correspondents with photo reports from Gaza.

Konstyantyn and Vlada Liberov have been showing the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine from the very beginning, regularly working on the front lines. Their pictures often appear in international and Ukrainian mass media.

Previously, Liberov's photographers shared footage of the destroyed Vovchansk.

It should be recalled that Ukrainian military photographers Kostyantyn and Vlada Liberov published photos of the soldiers from the Ukrainian Armed Forces who returned from Russian captivity.
